Cut your own Christmas tree
An awesome tradition, at Braun's Tree farm located not far from Ypsilanti.
An amazing operation complete with a Hot dog stand! One is given a saw,
and a wagon to transport your cut tree. A beautiful bluebird day. The family dog, Duke
came along to enjoy the family outing. Tons of folks and dogs!
The operation had the whole nine yards, machine to trim the dead branches
on the bottom of one's tree, another machine to tie it up complete with twine
for transport on your vehicle. A beautiful array of fresh wreaths for one's front door.
The choice of tree was a Frazer Fir, which was a good choice for longevity.
I might add, this tree farm was located beside a rail line, a great photo opt for me!
Also found a beautiful old oak tree sitting in a harvested corn field. I presume a lot of
corn is grown in this area as I saw many corn fields. Would love to have seen this tree
with the warm colors of the fall leaves! However, there is beauty in late fall.
The aroma of freshly cut pine trees fills the air with seasonal Joy...Joy is in the air...
